I learnt a lot about style, clothes and fabrics from my grandmother. My Oma has impeccable style and truly loves clothes- she loves their shape, their texture, the way they hang, how they make you feel. Of course as a true lover of clothes she is a wonderful seamstress, and has made a lot of her own clothes, and altered/put her mark on every piece she owns. One thing my Oma stands by is that she only wears natural fibres- cotton, linen, wool, cashmere and silk. My own wardrobe is a mixture of all sorts, however she has definitely passed down to me a love and appreciation of a beautiful fabric, and silk is definitely a great love! This top I’m wearing she gave me, and I just love how soft, comfortable and breathable it is. It really is such a basic top, but because of the fabric (and colour!) I think it really dresses up a pair of jeans (my Oma would hate these jeans haha- she is not a jeans fan and certainly not a ripped jeans fan!)
I wore this out and about with B, and I think it’s perfect for a date night. It’s comfortable, but the silky top and heels make it a bit alluring! 😉
On another note, the count down is on- one more day and then we’re off to the coast for the long weekend, weee! Except I’m crossing my fingers and my toes that my package arrives tomorrow with all my beach goodies I ordered online!
Happy hump day everyone! 🙂
