Happy start to another new week everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. If you follow me on snapchat and instagram (@madeleine_qiu ) you’ll know that I spent Saturday by the bay lying in the sun having a picnic with friends. To be honest I haven’t been that relaxed in weeks! I also picked up a few new things from the mall. I had my eye on some J Brand jeans, but when I tried them on they looked just awful on me, very unflattering. I later popped into Forever New and ended up with the perfect pair of jeans (you can see them on my Instagram) – so soft and comfortable and much more flattering. And, $200 cheaper! Isn’t it funny how it works out that way sometimes! I’ll definitely be taking them to Europe.
Speaking of Europe, we have finally booked all our accommodation! We did a mixture of hotels and Air BnB’s. Oh my gosh planning a month in Europe is so much work. We could have done it all through a travel agent, but both B and I like to research all the places, find exactly the area in each city we want to stay, and then find the best accommodation that fits our style and budget. Plus, you can’t book Air BnB’s through travel agents. We also booked to see Phantom of the Opera in London, which is something we both wanted to see for ages! We seriously can’t wait for this vacation, it will definitely be a trip of a lifetime. I’m so glad that I have my blog when we go, because I can’t wait to showcase all the amazing places we visit (and my outfits!). 🙂
I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when we went to Southbank with my mum for brunch. I bought this fluffy pink sweater at H&M last year (because it’s fluffy and pink and I couldn’t resist it), and I just love it, it’s so cosy and can be dressed down with black leggings, or as in this case, dressed up with jeans and booties. I also rolled up the bottoms of my jeans for a more stylish twist and to show off the ankle which I think looks nice with the booties! And seriously, if you want to immediately jazz up your outfit, put on a hat (preferably felt) and you are done and dusted!
