I fell in love with this top not just because of the gorgeous lace and ruffle detail (yes I am addicted, I know) but how versatile it is and how it will go with so many things. I’ve paired it here with my fave distressed denim jeans and knee high boots for an edgier look for dinner and a movie date night with the hubby, but I could easily wear it with a pencil or midi skirt for a more formal look, or even tailored pants or shorts. I know it may look like I am enjoying summer weather, it is technically winter here, so I opted to wear a white singlet underneath. Yes, you heard me, it is winter here so I’m wearing a singlet. Not a coat. A singlet. 😛 #brisbanelife. But you could also wear it with just a nude strapless bra if you didn’t want the straps showing- in my case I wore a strapless bra for a cleaner look but didn’t mind my singlet straps showing- it’s almost part of the look. If you’ve shopped from Asos before you’ll know they have a Tall and Petite range. This top doesn’t come in regular, I bought it in tall only because they had my size, but I think the ‘tall’ size would suit most people- as you can see it’s not crazy long or anything. It’s in stock in multiple sizes and would make a perfect staple addition to your wardrobe! I love it when other people share good finds, so I hope you like when I do the same! 🙂
If you follow me on Insta you’ll know that I am just loving wearing gorgeous summer style dresses at the moment, and pairing them with denim or leather jackets when the temps dip a bit low or I’m after an edgier look. Whether you’re currently sweating it out in the Northern Hemisphere or dreaming of an upcoming beach vacation (or live in Brisbane :-P), I’ve found all the perfect summer style dresses just for you, including the dress I’m wearing in the image above! And the best part is- they’re ALL UNDER $100 and all ship internationally! Just click on the image of the dress you like! Happy shopping (or vacation fantasizing like me! :-P) Enjoy!
You all know how much I adore a gorgeous summer dress, and Mombasa Rose seriously makes the dreamiest floral dresses. I styled this pretty blue, white and red print with my fave yellow sandals for (another!) pop of colour, and a black bag and sunglasses to keep the rest of my look neutral. Bouncy waves and my boho style bangles and I was good to go! Plus it’s under $70 with free shipping in Australia (or only $15 international!)
I wore this look yesterday to New Farm, hubby and I had lunch and a vino in the sun on the beautiful New Farm tree lined streets and it was so relaxing. We strolled down to the river afterwards and listened to the water lap against the banks and I just felt so at peace. Winter in Brisbane is seriously the best! We joke about how nice it is, but then realise that in some countries this is people’s summer! So crazy to think. 😛
If you follow me on Instagram stories you’ll see that I loved this outfit so much I just threw on my new fave leather jacket and black tassel velvet sandals and I wore this look to dinner! That’s the great thing about these gorgeous flowy dresses is that they are so easy to take from day to night. Plus there’s plenty of room for food haha.
I hope everyone has a fabulous week! Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
