Summer holiday style- one dress, many ways

Is anyone else totally guilty of only wanting to wear new clothes they have bought, because all your other clothes feel old and tired? This is so me! It doesn’t matter what it is, if it’s shiny and new I love it more! 😀 The problem with this is I’m also not in the habit of wearing clothes only once… That’s why it’s so important to look at changing up your accessories. This is also handy when you’re on vacation, and want to bring your look from day to night without changing your clothes, and also don’t have tonnes of room for bulky clothes.

I recently bought this Chicwish dress for our upcoming trip as it’s stylish and on trend, but as it’s plain white it’s like a blank canvas for me to go crazy with jewellery, shoes and bags!

Depending on where you’re going, this dress could be worn with all the bright fun accessories from this season for a trip to the beach or shopping around town, or, paired with a black or brown sandal and sunnies and a touch of bling would be a stylish evening look.

ps What does everyone think of the new Instagram stories? I think I’ll become a big fan, I love Snapchat, but disliked the annoying way you had to manually add users, and the name had to be perfect (where’s the drop down recommendations!?) Also I’ve so enjoyed actually seeing (it feels like meeting!) all the amazing stylish bloggers I follow on IG, who I didn’t follow on Snapchat for whatever reason. It’s like a supercharged Snapchat! Very exciting times ahead I think… I wonder how long I’ll continue to use both…

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Take care. xx

  1. I’m guilty of always wanting something new and not always styling something multiple ways, but it’s something I am trying to more of lately! And I’m not sure about the Insta Stories, I’m excited to see peoples but sometimes I feel like it’s now one more part of social media that you have to contribute to now! There’s so many!! haha

    • Tell me about it! I haven’t even gone to Twitter or FB for my blog, I’m just on Insta and Snapchat and then manage my blog, I just don’t have the time for a million different types of social media (plus I never really got Twitter.. I’m a visual person, I like photos!) But I don’t think that we can have both IG stories and Snapchat in the long run, I reckon one has to go…!

  2. I was thinking the exact same thing with Instagram stories! I feel like now I can get to know the bloggers behind their picture-perfect Insta shots, and I love that! It just feels like a whole new level of connectivity 🙂 And I’m the same way with clothes–once I buy something new, everything else seems to shift to ‘outdated’ by default lol. Accessories are definitely the easy fix!

    • That’s so true Chrisy, Insta shows the perfect life, and IG stories shows the reality behind the perfection haha. I’ve already gone makeup-less! xxx Madeleine

    • Thanks so much Christianne, glad you like it! xx Madeleine
